Blue bird skies vs. a cloudy day
Just wondering if anyone knows, why it seems that on a clear sky, less fish seem to bite but would rather bite when there is some sort of cloud formation going on?

It's all about pressure. Clear skies indicate a high pressure system, while cloudy skies usually mean that some sort of low pressure is on it's way or has set in. Fishing usually increases as the pressure is falling.

Never really knew that. Just figured it had something to do with cloud cover and how they are exposed. Im guessing the best time to fish is before a storm?

Thats part of it too. On a sunny day they are really easy for birds and other predators to spot. Alot of times on a sunny day i wont start to bank nice fish till after dark..
