I figuared id throw i post in here since the forum is kinda dead. So after much debate i decided to jump in a split grip 2 of my fishing rods. Im very happy with how they turned out and would like to thank Mike and Jake for some tips and what to do. I first cut all the cork i wanted to remove off. I also cut cork off the foregrip. Then hit it with some low heat to get the remaining epoxy off and sanded the blank. I used some silver paint to batch the wraps and make it look alittle more finished ...

So since ive been working alot lately ive been compiling photos of my fishing so i can just do one report.

Me and Mike decided to hit up a Scuba Run after work and try for some bass and crappie. Since we only had a short while to fish we mainly targeted bass. Bayonet and all Its chambered in 7.62.54r And fires like a tack driver.
I was thinking about making some sort of competition between the members, on setting up some sort of match play, were a 1 vs 1 match will occur to catch the biggest amount of total weight between 3 fish. I know it sounds kind of tricky, but we could think about rules and how to set it up because some of members do not live in the same area. Just an idea for now, but will hopefully start it up soon. Let me know what yall think

Took a buddy of mine out for some relaxing fishing this morning. We got a late start and didn't get on the lake til around 8. Got 3 keepers within the first 30 minutes, then they shut down. They were hanging around my bamboo piles in 17-19 ft of water. The lake is about 2 foot low right now and clear. We used chartreuse plastic grubs. The little down twitch motion was the key to triggering any strikes today and pink crappie nibble seemed to help. Here is me with the two biggest.

30 lb thrust motor, hand controlled with telescope handle

Anyone know if I was to add the motor to boat, since im guessing they both wont fit if I put the motor in the middle of the transom, would the boat still run the same way if I was to move over the motor just a little bit to make room for the trolling motor?
